Called to a job today to replace an aerial lead in cable that had been incorrectly repaired when it should have been replaced. This client had spoken with us 12 months before and we recommended them replace it, but unfortunately at the time we were booked out 3 weeks in advance, and the client went with another company Mr Telco. They had sent out a contractor who had tried to repair an aerial lead in cable with a piece of yellow internal 2 pair cable, with no tension wire to support the tension that would be exerted from this span of cable.

Lead in cable are generally the responsibility of Telstra, but because this customer had private steal pole they won’t do the work. Mr Telco did a very dodgy repair on the cable. This Tech could have no way been ACMA accredited. Customer will pursue Mr Telco for a refund on original work.
