Field Job Description
This client had 4 sockets inside his house and ever since he had his service connected only one of the phone sockets inside his house worked. He wanted to set up his modem in another room, so he wanted to get all his phone sockets working. His phone line that was working was working perfectly so we knew there was a possible open circuit on his other phone sockets somewhere.

At the socket that was working was a double gang phone socket which only one of them had a dial tone. I pulled off the plate a had a look and found there were two separate Cat6 cables going to each socket. One Cat6 went directly to the Telstra lead in cable, and the other socket daisy chained around to the other sockets. It was a simple fix as I just needed to complete the circuit between them with a small piece of jumper wire. Problem solved.
