Lead-In Cable Damaged – Freshwater

Field Job Description

Customer has lost internet service. They had a tech call out on the between the 16 and 18 of may to find out what the issue was. He told the customer the problem was with the lead in cable but he was not allowed to touch or open the luka box. I inspected the luka box and found it only had a Foxtel cable running from the house to the pit. The lead in cable was directly buried from the pit to the house and not in a conduit. The neighbours at number 10 have the house knocked down and the same day when they were enervating the line went dead. See image above, and you will see that bother number 10 and number 12 lead in cable run directly on number 10 property side. This should be a recoverable damage job as the building contractor at number 10 has damaged this cable. The technician who did come here wasn’t very helpful and told the customer they will be receiving a report which they never received and he could work on the lead in cable as he told the customer it was not his job to do so. For further evidence on this matter please see video.
