Answer

Connecting your modem to an NBN box is a straightforward process, but the steps can vary based on the type of NBN connection you have. Here’s a general guide:

  1. Initial Physical Setup:
    • Connect the power cable to the Wi-Fi Router.
    • Plug in the power adapter to an electrical outlet.
    • Connect an Ethernet cable into the ‘Internet’ or ‘WAN’ port of your router.
    • Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into port UNI-D1 at the back of the NBN modem.
  2. Connecting via Wi-Fi:
    • Note the Wi-Fi Security Key/Password on the sticker at the bottom of the router.
    • Search for available wireless networks on your device.
    • Select your router’s Wireless Network name and connect using the security key.
  3. Connecting via Ethernet Cable (Non Wi-Fi setup):
    • Connect an Ethernet cable into the ‘Internet’ or ‘WAN’ port of your router.
    • Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into port UNI-D1 at the back of the NBN modem.
    • Use another Ethernet cable to connect your device to one of the numbered ports on the back of the router.
