How to connect a router to NBN FTTP?
Question
I’ve recently moved to a new property with NBN FTTP installed, and I’m a bit unsure about setting up my router. Can you guide me through the steps to properly connect my router to the NBN FTTP system?

Answer
Answer
How to connect a router to NBN FTTP? The process of connecting a router to NBN FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) is as follows:
- Locate your nbn™ connection box inside your premise.
- Connect the black power cord to the black port on the nbn™ box and the other end to a power outlet.
- Use an Ethernet cable, typically blue or yellow, and connect it from the UNID port of the nbn™ box to the WAN port of your modem. Some modems might label the WAN port as “Internet”.
- Once connected, you can then connect your devices to one of the LAN ports on your modem to access the internet.
- For a wireless setup, refer to the wireless security card for the Wi-Fi network name and password. This card can usually be found inside the modem box or on a sticker at the base of the modem
