The $250 (GST inclusive) covers one hour on-site with an Open Registered Cabler, travel up to 40km from our Sutherland Shire office, WiFi pairing, free-to-air app installation (7plus, 9Now, 10 play, ABC iview, SBS On Demand), streaming service configuration, full channel scan, HDMI device connections, sound and display settings, and a plain-English walkthrough for every member of the household.
If your setup takes longer than one hour — for example, multiple TVs, complex home theatre connections, or an extended walkthrough for senior residents — additional time is charged beyond the first hour. Travel within 40km of our Sutherland Shire office is included in the $250. Beyond that, a travel supplement applies — calculated using the ATO cents-per-kilometre method for the return distance over 40km. Yes — we can set up multiple TVs in a single visit. The $250 covers the first hour of work. If additional TVs require more time, this is charged at the standard overtime rate, which we confirm before proceeding. Setting up two or three TVs in a single visit is often more cost-effective than booking separate visits.
Having your WiFi password ready saves time — it's usually on a sticker on the back of your router. For paid streaming services like Netflix or Stan, you'll need your account username and password. If you can't locate your WiFi password, we can help retrieve it from your router settings. Let us know when booking so we're prepared.
The $250 covers the visit and all work completed in the first hour. If your TV has a hardware fault that requires manufacturer repair or replacement, we'll diagnose it clearly and advise on your options. We can still configure streaming devices, HDMI connections, and WiFi for other equipment while your TV awaits repair — maximising the value of the service call.
